“Trying to be manly in front of your girl friend there are you, Valentine?” Sau commented pointing his wooden training sword at me, “Hm, that’s not going to be all that useful when you’re fighting.” He raised his eyebrow mockingly and put his wooden sword to the top of my neck.
“She’s not my girlfriend, she’s just my friend!” I shouted.
“Girlfriend, friend, couple, what difference does it make how your relationship is now? It’s your intentions that I’m talking about,” he insulted, “You think you’re so different saying you love people for their personality. Well wake up, you’re lying to yourself and us! Deep down I know that you’re just interested in them for their looks! You’re just like the rest of us a perverted, disgusting, natural guy!” Each word he spoke hurt like arrows piercing my heart. I knew it was truth, deep down. “There’s another lie you’re living by, that a noble cause will make someone stronger. You’re the worst swordsman in the village Valentine and you know it.”
“SHUT UP!” I screamed shoving my wooden sword into the side of his. His sword flew back into its sheath. “You self centered jerk!” I thrusted my sword at his stomach with a grunt.
“Describing your inner-self are you Valentine?” he insulted jumping aside therefore dodging the sword coming at him. I growled at him pulling an irritated face at his annoying bland haired head. “I don’t like wolves,” he commented kicking me into the stomach. I fell to the ground writhing in pain. Screaming in pain as he repeatedly kicked me on the ground I saw Veronica, the girl whom I had been protecting, standing above me about to laugh. She slowly stepped toward Sau embracing him in a hug which stopped his kicking.
“Thank you my lovely Sau for taking care of that miserable excuse for scum,” she kindly thanked. Following the statement she kissed him on the lips. I clenched my fists trying to hold back tears. Her beautiful red-brown hair, her wonderful face… why!? Why must I have been born a weakling? My thoughts I no longer could control as I coughed up a little blood. Telling that they were now going to leave me here I relaxed my muscles and laid out exhausted on the dirt road that ran through our village.
