-Pain of Regret-

THE PAIN OF REGRET, there is no pain, no sadness, and no fear that rivals the effects of one’s regret of what they have done. For it is not what a man says that counts. It is what he does that counts. For when he realizes his mistakes, he will surely feel such an unrivaled pain. The mistake often reflects the possibility of forgiveness. If a man has hurt in a minor way then it can easily be repaired. But when such a major thing such as stomping on the dreams has occurred there is little chance for forgiveness. A friend who betrays is scarcely a friend at all. For it is the friend who betrays that deserves to obtain the hate of his fellow men, it doesn’t matter the degree of his betrayal, to betray ones friends is to betray ones self.
